Charlotte, NC – [June 6, 2024] Chartwells Higher Education announced today it has won Silver in the social video category for the best use of Instagram Stories in the record-breaking 44th Annual Telly Awards. The Telly Awards honors excellence in video and television across all screens and is judged by leaders from video platforms, television, streaming networks, and production companies including Adobe, BBC World Service, Netflix, Dow Jones, Complex Networks, Jennifer Garner, A&E Networks, Hearst Media, Nickelodeon, National Geographic Society, ESPN Films, RYOT, Partizan and Vimeo.

“The caliber of the work this season coming from creators such as Chartwells truly has reflected the theme of breaking out and standing out,” said Telly’s Executive Director Sabrina Dridje. “Our industry is experimenting with new technologies like never before, crafting truly compelling stories to draw attention to some of the world’s most pressing issues, and companies big and small are turning to more sustainable practices to break the cycle of past production processes.”

Developed to showcase the best of campus dining’s social media videos, the winning #fyp (for your plate) video, a title which is a fun play on the For Your Page (fyp) algorithm generator, repurposed popular memes, trends, and clips captured by Chartwells’ dining associates from across the country. This creative approach brought together diverse and engaging content to showcase the vibrancy and joyful nature of campus dining, while also demonstrating the deep connections the teams are building within their campus communities.

“We are thrilled and honored to receive the Silver Award in the social video category at the 44th Annual Telly Awards,” said Meredith Rosenberg, Senior Vice President of Communications and Creative Services for Chartwells Higher Education. “This recognition is a testament to the creativity, dedication, and innovative spirit of our entire team. By capturing and showcasing the amazing efforts and vibrant moments from our campus dining programs, we’ve celebrated the hard work and commitment of our associates. This award is a tribute to everyone who brings energy, passion, and excellence to our dining services every day.”

This year’s awards announcement caps a year-long celebration of creators and talent who truly stand out during a time when the ubiquity of screens brings more clutter than quality into consumers’ lives. These are the creators and innovators who spotlight diverse voices, who are building a more sustainable industry, and who break through the static with their creativity.
