Chartwells Higher Education Partners with St. Edward’s University to Redefine Campus Dining

A new student-focused and community-driven dining experience is now underway

Chartwells Higher Education is excited to announce its partnership with St. Edward’s University as the university’s dining services provider. Launched on May 22nd, this collaboration reflects a shared commitment to making campus dining more inclusive, accessible and engaging for the entire Hilltopper community.

Chartwells is already working to bring to life a dining experience designed with students, for students—the result of open feedback and input from students, faculty, staff, and community members. With innovation, flexibility, and hospitality at the forefront, the program is focused on delivering quality food and memorable moments across campus.

What’s New:

  • Topper Eats Brand focuses on building strong campus relationships, celebrating school spirit and is rooted in creating a dining experience that reflects and supports the unique culture of the SEU community
  • South Congress Market is now home to student-driven themed events like a DIY Mac & Cheese Bar or a pickling teaching kitchen hosted monthly at the heart of campus.
  • Meadows Coffeehouse has been reimagined as a vibrant social spot, complete with games, activities and a space to unwind with friends.
  • The Grab & Goat offers a wide range of on-the-go options, featuring campus favorite and convenient, fresh selections.

“Our goal is always to listen first—then build something that feels truly connected to the campus community. From the start, the team at St. Edward’s has been collaborative and student-focused, which has made this a natural fit. We’re excited to bring fresh energy, creativity, and hospitality to campus life in a way that reflects the values and voices of Hilltoppers.”- says Eva Wojtalewski, CEO Chartwells Higher Education

Central to this partnership is an emphasis on community participation and student engagement. Throughout the academic year, students can expect interactive pop-ups, hands-on culinary experiences, and collaborative events with local partners, campus vendors, and organizations—creating a dynamic dining culture across the hilltop.

“At St. Edward’s, our students are at the center of everything we do—and that includes how we approach campus dining. Partnering with Chartwells Higher Education, a team that specializes in creating engaging, student-centered dining experiences, has allowed us to build a program shaped by the voices, values, and everyday needs of our Hilltopper community. Together, we’re creating more than just meals—we’re fostering connection, belonging, and a true sense of campus hospitality.” – says Rebekah Desai, Associate Vice President for Business Services at St. Edward’s University.
